27 Dec VIBRATE THE COSMOS

Kundalini Yoga master Yogi Bhajan gave five sutras, or threads of wisdom, to support the modern yogi (or human) to move through the demands of the Aquarian Age, this significant era of evolutionary consciousness!

The fifth of these five sutras of the Aquarian Age is VIBRATE THE COSMOS, AND THE COSMOS SHALL CLEAR THE PATH.

It is this beautiful sutra, or thread, that is the unifying theme of engagement and sharing this year throughout the global Kundalini community.

This sutra offers us a space of contemplation… an invitation to understand on a subtle level, a level of consciousness beyond the mind… to Vibrate the Cosmos…

In yogic cosmology it is said that the Universe is made of sound—that there is a vibratory frequency that corresponds to everything in the Universe. Quantum physics now corroborates that everything which exists, when broken down into its base elements, is nothing but energy. At the sub-atomic level, there is no matter – only energy and vibration.

The Universe is one big field of energy. We, as humans, are electric beings vibrating at certain frequencies, as are trees, flowers, books, and everything else around us. We vibrate frequency through our thoughts, words, actions, emotions, and feelings. And with each of these, we are either vibrating in harmony or disharmony with the Universe. The sutra, Vibrate the Cosmos, asks us to look into the mental frequency we are vibrating in the path of our journey of life: how are we meeting the demands of life? What are we attracting and manifesting? Are we opening up to our own inner wisdom and clarity by moving through the vibration of our highest knowing? Are we talking and walking in alignment with our highest virtues and core values?

Contemplation of these questions is an ongoing process, and an important one in recognizing that what we put out to the universe correlates directly to the quality of our experience; that we create our reality. From contemplation to manifestation, here are a couple of observances that can support us to vibrate in an integral frequency:

*** Be mindful of the words you speak, and the tone in which you deliver them. Are you speaking in consciousness to bring understanding, awareness or elevation to yourself or another? The words we use have a big impact on those around us as well as on ourselves.   One’s word is the most powerful tool one has, to either elevate or defeat another. Refrain from gossip, from repetitive complaining, and from judging yourself and others. Be mindful of your internal mantras and thoughts as well! Your thoughts are vibrating frequencies. Be kind and compassionate with yourself and with others!

*** Vibrate the Cosmos: Do your spiritual practice! Chant! Meditate! These are the best tools we have to cut through the internal chatter of the mind and the limiting belief patterns we hold in our subconscious! You may have heard the scientific equation, that even with the best of intentions, we are being driven by our subconscious patterns over 90% of the time! So if you feel like life is handing you one block or challenge after another, it may be a good opportunity to check in with what you may be vibrating internally that’s causing a lot of noise and energy disturbance in your projection. Chant. Use mantra. Cut through. Mantras are the mind vibration in relationship to the cosmos, using the sound current to free the mind and to enter into a deep state of meditation.

*** Sing, write poetry, dance your heart, sweat your prayers. Creative expression from the heart and soul is always elevating for one’s spirit, inspires compassion, and frees the subconscious burden. In summation, I would like to leave you with the following quote as a beautiful verse of what Vibrating the Cosmos ultimately gifts us with…. Receive it please as a thread of contemplation. Let it vibrate through you: “With the most corrupt person, you can be honest; with the most angry person, you can be cool; and with the most insulting person, you can be graceful. If the balance of your personality and your sensitivity can remain under your control and your projection, you have learned the art of living.”
